What I’d Wear to…

asos petite jumpsuit cream

I am partnering with ASOS again for an IG post on outfits for different occasions (watch the video here!), and wanted to share details about the fabrics and sizing. In addition to the pieces pictured below, I also wanted to share a few other items that caught my eye heading into Fall. Oversized yet petite-friendly blazers are quite elusive, so I grabbed this blazer in XS Petite and will be sharing photos in a post soon! I’ve also been searching for relaxed “dad trousers” (definitely my favorite trend lately) and found a few in petite sizing but haven’t yet tried myself.

What I’d wear to: weekend brunch

This two piece set is made of a lightweight, fluid linen blend fabric. The shorts run very small at the waist with no stretch, so I sized up to a 2P for them and they measure 12.75″ across the waist.

For the shirt jacket, my usual size 00 Petite still has a slightly oversized fit so I’d definitely stick true to size for the top.

What I’d wear to: summer drinks

This belted jumpsuit with adjustable shoulder straps feels so elongating and comfortable on. It’s made of a lightweight stretchy fabric that is on the thinner side and has a little texture to it. This is fitted at the midsection and I wanted a little wiggle room, so I went up two sizes to a 2 Petite and it feels comparable to a XXS to XS Petite in American brands. The length works for me even with flat shoes (I’m 5 feet tall). I would recommend this for smaller chests based on the style and the cut of the bust cups.

Also available in regular sizing in black

What I’d wear to: a wedding

Also in regular & tall sizes

I was drawn to the bold silhouette and color of this tie shoulder dress, and the cascading bow tie shoulders makes this feel ultra feminine. I took my usual 00 petite as the bodice has stretch. Heads up, whenever you see the word “scuba” in ASOS apparel it means it’s made of a neoprene-like fabric. Scuba tends to be medium to thicker weight with structure, rather than a flowier fabric.
